Change & Explation

I have shut down my main website and have gone back to Blogger.

Why? 

Well I have been on a "Crafty Hiatus" for sometime now - I was going hard crafting for a very long time. I mean my mind was going 24/7 with ideas and I was making stuff every second of the day that I could . Well as you can image after years and years of doing this something snapped- I read a book lol. 

Sounds silly I know but you have to understand I have an obsessive personality and when something "Sticks" I go balls to the wall with it. First was spinning yarn, then making trashy treasures, now it's reading. I never read before June 2012 (maybe 4 books in my 40 years) then I read a series of books and I didn't stop there I read 180 books from June to December. Last year I read 380 books. Do you see what I mean by obsessive? So when the reading started my crafty brain turned off :(.

I still make stuff but it's when asked to do it. I feel like my craftiness has started over because I am back to crocheting - which is what I started with at the beginning. 

So with all that said I do think I will get back to my trashy treasures at some point and I didn't want to shut my site down completely. I am planning on posting crafty stuff in general here and will lean towards the upcycling goods. So if you have anything you want me to feature just email me and I will post it!

Editors Choice

Back in July I was a Vendor at the Detroit Maker Faire. This was my second year & I hope to be part of it again this year. It is just the most amazing event I have ever been apart of!! 

So why am I tell you all this?

Well at the Maker Faire the editors get to pick their favorite booth & I was one of the booths picked!!!!

I carry my ribbon around with me & display it at my shows but I just got an email with a Ribbon I can post on my website/blog!! plus they list all the Editors choices on their website!

Eco Baby Line

Since Apple Pie has come along I have to urge to make stuff for her~ of course I do that's my nature right!

So I decided I want to start an Eco Baby Line of stuff~ Handmade of course.

I was going to keep it under my business name Radical Recycks but after much thought I feel it's better under it's own name Eco-Babies.com (EcoBabies2.etsy.com).

I have yet to open up shop I wanted to make sure it was all stocked up first. I only have a few of the million things made that are swirling in my head but I know it will come together soon. 

I also need to make my logo~ I have an idea just have to figure out how to make it lol!

Love is in the Air!

Happy Valentines Day!

I have been saying for weeks what a stupid hallmark holiday it is and how much I hate it. 

Truth is I kind of like it... I get to make stupid gifts for my hubby!

This year I Crocheted a big Heart and hung it from his rear view mirror. 

I asked him what he was going to do with it and he said put it next to his giant Olive that i made him.

I made him a giant stuffed olive because you know " Olive You".

February Photo A Day

I kept noticing all these pictures on Instagram that had the hashtag #JanPhotoADay so I was intrigued as to what it was all about. Seems this gal who's instagram name is FatMumSlim puts these lists together on what to take a picture of each day. I got on board in Feb and it's so much fun!!

Day 1 your view today

I was working on this embroidery pattern that my friend Jen Osborn made me for the Bohemian Bag workshop I am doing at Stitched 2012 (link on the right top)

Day 2 Words

I felt like this says it all...Sometimes we just need to "Stop" and take a look around us to see all the wonderful things me take for granted everyday.

Day 3 Hands

Nothing Sweeter than my Apple Pie's hands! They are the hands of our future.

Day 4 Stranger

I saw this cute girl at Treasure Mart while with my girlfriends & she just seemed like a Stranger I wanted to bring into my bubble!

Gosh it's Sunday & no better place to be than still in bed! (I love my curtains!)

I work with old clothing as my Medium and Love Love Love all the buttons I Upcycle from them. I have a jar full of them!

This is rather a boring one! but I do have 2 sleeping bags hiding in there! this is because every year when we go to Girl Scout Camp I can never find the sleeping bags so this past year I decided to hide them in my closet with the flash lights!

This is my new tomato Pin Cushion Tattoo! 

I just got it this week. I love how it ties in with the tape measure. Now for the buttons!

Day 17 Time

It's Girl Scout Cookie Time! somehow I am the one that got suckered into picking up all the cookies for our troop ~ 70 something cases! Still have 3 mom's that need to pick up their cookies!

Day 18 Drink

This is the most Delicious June Bug served at Friday's! Hubby and I went to dinner and I sucked a few of these down. They are dangerous as I can drink to many before I know what hits me lol!

Day 19 Something you Hate to do

I Hate having to clean up after dinner. You work so hard making a bunch of stuff, Sit down to enjoy then when you go back in the kitchen it's uggg when you see all those dirty pans!
