The Fabric Closet!

Well in a early posts I was yammering about organizing my surrounds so I can move on the organize my life~ well it is still a work in progress but very very close! here is a picture of my Fabric Closet~ it may not look "neat" but since I have no before picture you will have to trust me on this one that it is well organized by my 11 year old daughter~ thank god for her! I also am posting a few others of my sewing room.

I was thinking today when I got home from going out that I couldn't wait to get home to put my hair up in my favorite pony and put on my $2 Robe thing~ see it's not long or thick like a robe but great to pop on over your shirt! Every day when I get home from work these are first things that I do~ usually peeing it #1 because we all know that I am the queen of  peeing my pants ~ to many other things to do than pee but when it starts to tinkle out it becomes very very important!!

I also finally got my family quilts up that  I made in a personal 3 day work shop a friend of my and I attended at Susan Shie's house a couple of years ago you can learn about Susan here www.Turtlemoon.com she is a wonderful women that makes the most gorgeous quilts~ you can't sleep with them but you will have to see them to understand! I made one for my Hubby, Daughter, son and one to myself it just not only has the things they love on the quilt but basically a letter to them from me!

I want to make notebooks with scrap paper and coffee cuff covers and hand them out at Artfest!
(http://www.teeshamoore.com/ to find out about ArtFest).

Now Check out this Fantastic Dryer sheet dress made by Shawn Le Kohler! It is so Amazing and you wouldn't know for a min that it was made from dryer sheets!

My items are more Fused plastic pieces a Journal with scrap paper and purse pouches.

Pick your issue up on Feb 1st it has lots of cool stuff in it to get your creative juices flowing!

So one day an infomercial got the best of me and I bought another Juicer! really what the hell was I thinking I already have this expensive one sitting in the cupboard-but if you have ever juiced u know they are not the easiest thing to clean so the promise of an easy cleaning machine got my blood a flowin and I bought it hook line & sinker! When it arrived I quickly juiced my favorite green apples and parsley drink but in the middle of my mouth watering concoction  it ceased & assisted! what the heck now I'm pissed cuz I not only bought something I shouldn't have but now it's a piece of crap & they will surely give me a hard time about returning! well seems there's a reset button on the bottom & it is easy to clean & I love it! www.powerjuicer.com ya know Jack LaLanne that old dude! now i am trying to get use to the daily detox - asparagus, lemon, cucumber!

I have been hanging on to these two sweaters for @ least 7 years now~they were my daughters a I knew I wanted to make them into something else and today I finally got one of them balled up and ready to become something new but what? I'm thinking a hat. I just hope it doesn't take me another 7 years to make it!

Compost where you can!

I noticed at work that everyone seems to eat a fair amt of fruits and veggies as well as the at least one pot of coffee a day and where were all the scraps going? yep in the trash! it's was driving me crazy so I read online about smaller compost bins and how to make one cheaply~ with something I already have because let's face it the boss isn't going to spring for a compost bin even if it's for the greater good! so from what I read it's really about the items you put in it ~ so I got an old plastic tote and had one of the guys at work drill some holes in it ~ hence the smiley face then propt it up on some bricks we had laying around from when the building was built and started filling it up ~ I didn't get many leaves in there before the snow fell but lots of coffee and filter so that should be good for the "brown" items! Sometimes if I have big stuff that needs composting at home and it can't go in my composter I have in the kitchen and I don't feel like drugging  to the backyard in a foot of snow I'll bring it to work! Oh yeah the fella at work didn't listen to be all the way so my hubby had to drill some holes in the bottom of the bin for drainage but not so big the stuff falls out! now I hope to have some good compost by spring so I can plant a garden at work!

Year to organize

I think 2010 is the year to organize not only my things but my life! I of course will start with my things and gently work my way into orgainzing my life!
I had whipped these up a bit back and finally finished them yesterday! they are made from plastic bags and two of them have bottle caps on them for a fancy center! I am hoping to get them posted in my etsy store sometime today! www.RadicalRecycks.etsy.com
